Threads is an app from Instagram where you can view and share public conversations. Depending on how you use Threads, you can also post threads, reply to others and follow profiles you're interested in. Threads and replies can include short pieces of text, links, photos, videos or any combination of them.

Threads pretty much replicates an Instagram account in seconds, follows who you follow on IG, and is less understood compared with Instagram. While your wife or husband may monitor your Instagram, they may not even know what Threads is and not know you are using it to be a cheat.

But Threads also comes with a whole host of Meta baggage, including questionable privacy practices, opaque algorithms and Big Tech monopoly power. Many of those issues have turned people off Zuckerberg's other social networks such as Facebook. And those issues are all still present in Threads.
