A Reel is an Instagram feature that allows users to film or upload video clips for up to 60 seconds that they can edit, sound dub, or add effects to before sharing on the app.

Instagram reels were first introduced on August 5th, 2020, and were 15 seconds long.

This means that both individuals and organizations have an incredibly easy job of displaying their creativity and impressing their audience. Unlike Instagram stories, reels do not disappear after 24 hours. They remain on your profile until you delete them.

Creating Reels Select Reels at the bottom of the Instagram camera. You'll see a variety of creative editing tools on the left side of your screen to help create your reel, including: Audio: Search for a song from the Instagram music library. You can also use your own original audio by simply recording a reel with it.
